Southern California Public Radio reporter Ms. Josie Huang visited IMX Auto to interview Mr. Henry Aghajanian, the President of IMX Auto Group. KPCC Public Radio reporter was surprised to find out that a private business decided to take out all vehicles out of the showroom and provide space for voting equipment for 11 days. Ms Josie pointed out that is very unusual for the car dealership to become a vote center.
The President of the IMX Auto Group Mr. Aghajanian emphasized that IMX Auto is committed to serve the community. IMX Auto is a 5-star dealership in Burbank for more than 32 years. The company made a decision to become a part of the “Voting Solutions for All People” initiative which is implemented by Los Angeles County for 2020 elections.
Mr. Aghajanian mentioned that IMX sales and marketing team did 2020 SWOT analysis within the organization and there was a suggestion from a sales team member to become a polling place. “Actually I had thought about it very long time ago. But only this year we made it happen. We contacted LA County Election offices and became a vote center”, said Mr. Aghajanian. The company is in touch with vote center account managers to finalize all details and logistics and get ready for the upcoming elections.
IMX Auto is going to be a polling station for 11 days, starting from February 22nd. The cooperation is going to continue and IMX Auto is going to be a vote center for November elections as well.
